OUR STORY

Welcome to County Line Meats! Mike and Kim Videkovich are the 5th generation to farm and raise cattle along the Pickaway County and Fairfield County line just east of Ashville, Ohio. Kim grew-up on the farm and Mike joined the farm full-time in 2006 after a few years in corporate job. Mike grew-up a suburban kid, but jumped into farming with both feet in 2005 and hasn’t looked back. He and Kim’s dad, Ray, run the family farm operation together. Their three boys, Nathan, Calvin and Blaine are also active in the day-to-day operations, when they aren’t in school.

OUR PRACTICES

We believe in raising high quality beef for our family and our community. The cattle operation is birth to butcher. That means that all of the cattle are born and raised in our care. We know where they have been and what they have been fed for their entire life.

When the cattle aren’t in the pasture, they eat a custom ration developed it a cattle nutritionist. It can include corn, sorghum, wheat, alfalfa and barley, which are all grown on our farm. Our cattle do not receive added hormones or antibiotics.

When purchasing beef for your family from County Line Meats, you can have confidence that you know where the meat comes from and who cared for it.

Lucas and Shannon Helser, along with their three children, Maddie, Brianna, and Landon established Helser Family Genetics in 2002. The operation started with just two crossbred sows and now has 20 sows in their showpig and market hog operation. They raise crossbred and purebred Spotted hogs. The hogs are born and finished on the family farm, where Lucas grew up. Animal welfare is their top priority, they do not use additional antibiotics or hormones. Whole and half hog shares as well as cuts are available.
