This is my go-to chili recipe. As long as your ground beef is thawed, this can be ready in about 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs County Line Meats Ground Beef
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 (14.5 oz) can whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 3 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 (30 oz) can mild chili beans (or hot chili beans to turn up the heat)
- Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, crackers
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic over medium heat; drain.
- Stir in tomatoes, broth, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper and salt; reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes.
- Stir in beans and simmer an additional 10 minutes.
- Top with sour cream, shredded cheese and/or crackers. Delicious with corn bread!
