The weight of the animal is the 1st factor, so always ask the farmer what their average hanging weight is.

If you are looking to purchase a beef share directly from a farmer, we would love to provide beef to your family. We walk you through each step of the process to make it smooth and easy.

Purchasing a share of beef is an investment for your family, and we want you to know what you will be getting and the associated cost. Our goal is to make this an easy process for you.
These estimates are based on $4.75/lb price.
We review our Beef Share pricing quarterly. These estimates are good for beef going to the butcher through October 2026.
If you decide to purchase a share of beef through County Line Meats, we ask for a deposit:
- Quarter - $200
- Half - $300
- Whole - $650
Once the deposit is paid, we will reach-out to find out which available date you would like to reserve a beef share. Once the date is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with information about processing instructions, final payment and pick-up. When the meat is ready, the processor will call you and advise of the final processing cost. You will pick-up the meat from the processor.
